The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.

My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
Part of my work as a professional genealogist is to help locate family members to DNA test to identify the remains of servicemen and women who are still listed as MIA from former wars and conflicts.
This week I located a living 80-year-old daughter of one of those soldiers!!!
Amazing and so emotional!
This will keep me dancing for quite a while!

I’ve been in a cousin vortex this past week but the most exciting, because the most challenging, was contact from the biological niece of my father’s cousin who was MIA, assumed KIA, in Korea in 1953. How serendipitious is that?! And she found me because Kunkel family members pointed her to me as the contact.
